Arizona Lutheran Academy offers a university-preparatory high school education for grades 9-12 that has a reputation for excellence. While maintaining high academic standards, ALA offers English as a Second Language (ESL) for its international students who need some extra assistance.
ALA’s international students live with carefully selected host families who can provide a true American cultural experience in a home environment.
The Arizona state capital city of Phoenix is the 6th largest city in the United States with about 4.5 million people in the metropolitan area. The school is located about 15 minutes from downtown Phoenix and about 20 minutes from the Phoenix airport (PHX).

If you are interested in attending Arizona Lutheran Academy in the USA, it is recommended that application be made early for the best opportunity for enrollment. Applications are reviewed as they are received and decisions on acceptance are made as early as possible.

Accepted Students
Once you've been accepted as a student at Arizona Lutheran Academy, it's time to start planning your move. You will receive registration forms by email, and these must be returned as soon as possible.
You will also be expected to participate in New Student Orientation, a two day experience that will take place several days before school begins in August. Plan to arrive in Phoenix in plenty of time to attend these special days! You'll meet new friends, choose your classes, learn about American high school culture, learn about living with your host family, and more!
